Biography

Elisabeth Cullen currently holds the Santander Universities UK Award studying voice with Mary Nelson at the Royal Academy of Music. She is in demand as a soloist and recitalist and has performed with choirs such as Farnham and Bourne Choral Society, Slough Philharmonic Chorus, Marlow Choral Society, Newbury Chamber Choir and The Grove Singers of London. Elisabeth has been invited to sing several vocal recitals including, most notably, appearances as part of the Beaconsfield United Reformed Church Lunchtime Concert Series and Hurley Music and Arts Festival. In 2021 she passed her ABRSM Performance Diploma with distinction.

Elisabeth has been involved in the Taplow Choirs organisation for many years and is conductor of Taplow Children’s Choir and Taplow Boys’ Choir. She also works regularly with the older choirs within the organisation. She also works with the National Youth Choir 9-15 Years on their residential courses and with the Royal Academy of Music Wider Participation Department.

She currently holds the position of ‘Solo Cantor’ at St Mary’s Church, Cadogan Street, London, and regularly sings with other church choirs including Chelmsford Cathedral Choir.

Elisabeth has grade 8 violin and grade 8 combined orchestral percussion as well as being appointed principal viola of the Berkshire Youth Symphony Orchestra when she was sixteen, a post that she held for four years.

Apart from singing, Elisabeth was a national standard springboard and platform diver and continues to coach athletes of national and international standard in her free time. She has A-levels in Maths, Physics and Chemistry and enjoys a spreadsheet every now and again.
